About the FCS

Founded in 1967, the FCS is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving professional standards in financial marketing communications through a mission of community, education and philanthropy. We provide industry professionals with a multi-faceted forum for gathering relevant information, sharing actionable ideas and building valuable relationships with fellow practitioners. FCS Members hold senior and mid-level management positions in advertising, marketing, PR, IR, corporate communications, and social and digital media at financial services and fintech firms including banks, brokerages, asset managers, exchanges, insurance companies, etc. Members from the broader financial services ecosystem represent associations, agencies, including branding & creative, PR & comms, content, research, and media-buying; as well as leading publishing and media companies, such as broadcast, print, out-of-home, and online outlets. Our Young Members Circle welcomes professionals age 35 and under, including those in entry-level positions.

    Leadership

The Financial Communications Society is led on a national basis by a Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee and governed by an elected Board of Directors. The CEO oversees a Regional Board comprising the Presidents and Vice Presidents of each regional chapter.

    Board of Directors

Eligible members may be elected to serve as Board Directors, each with a responsibility to lead FCS events and activities under a commitment of “time, talent and treasure.” The Board is limited to 25 Directors, and each Director, meeting ongoing eligibility, must stand for election every two years.

    Regional Board

Regional chapters are managed by a Board-appointed President, who in turn appoints a Vice President and recruits and oversees a Regional Steering Committee.

    Marketing Leadership Roundtable

Originally founded in 2012, the FCS Marketing Leadership Roundtable is an elite group of senior marketing executives who meet at exclusive sessions hosted by the FCS that provide for discussions, research and insights to elevate best practices in our industry disciplines. Roundtable members also provide guidance to the FCS on the development of event content and industry leadership.
