Event Summary:

FCS San Francisco will partner with CFA Institute for a breakfast presentation and panel discussion on "The Next Generation of Trust." CFA Institute recently conducted a global survey on the state of investor trust, examining changes in investor expectations around the world and how a new generation of investors and new investment tools are affecting the nature of trust.

Trust remains as the bedrock that supports the financial markets and underpins the investment management industry. Marketers must stay on top of how our companies, products, services, and most importantly our brands are perceived through the filter of trust.

Event Summary:

FCS Chicago will stage a Cocktails with Content reception on "Blockchain in Marketing: Imminent Promise, Real Challenges." We'll be hosted at the offices of McGuffin Creative Group.

Blockchain technology has been rightly heralded as a generational shift in technology. At the same time, clear explanations are few and a discussion of the real-world communications and marketing implications are vague. This conversation promises to leave attendees with a basic grounding in core concepts and a fundamental basis for navigating the rich conversation and media interest in this space.

Our presenter, Phil Gomes is the Chief Communications Officer for Bloq, and serves as the Director of Communications for Chicago Blockchain Center.

Join us for a great night of networking where you'll also have the opportunity to learn firsthand the impact of blockchain on our industry and the financial marketing discipline.

Wine, beer, a specialty cocktail and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Event Summary:

On October 9th, FCS Milwaukee will stage its second breakfast of 2018.  The topic will be "Change Management: Best Practices for Communicating Significant Changes to Internal and External Stakeholders."

Whether a merger or acquisition, leadership change, or reorganization, how financial services firms communicate major changes to internal and external stakeholders can have major implications—good or bad. Communications around these major transitions can have regulatory implications and impact brand reputation, share price, investor confidence, client retention and employee retention, among other factors.

Join the newest FCS chapter for a conversation on change management communications best practices with senior leaders from Baird, Northwestern Mutual and Actuant. Panelists will share their experience around a major change management event, including their communications strategy, outcomes, challenges and what they learned or may have done differently. Attendees will gain insights and practical advice they can take back to their own organizations.

This event is open to members and non-members of the FCS.
