FCS Charlotte will stage its first virtual event on Wednesday, May 11, beginning at 12 noon ET, when we present Personalization with the Right View of Your Customers.

David HixonPanelist

Executive Director, CRM & Marketing Analytics


David Hixon was named Executive Director of CRM and Marketing Analytics in April 2021. In his current role, Hixon is responsible for all things related to existing Ally customer marketing.  This includes, but is not limited to cross sell, loyalty, balance build, upsell, retention, onboarding, and feature adoption across all of Ally’s lines of business. Hixon joined Ally Financial in 2015 as the Senior Director of Marketing Analytics, with responsibility for building, executing, and measuring testable CRM strategies across all lines of business within the enterprise. Prior to joining Ally, Hixon was the Director of Analytics and Group Account Director at Publicis Hawkeye with responsibility for leading the agency’s marketing analytics function across a broad portfolio of large financial service clients. Hixon earned a marketing degree from UNC Charlotte and is currently the official statistician of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets.

Scott BrannanPanelist

Senior Vice President

Bank of America

Scott Brannan is a Senior Vice President on the Digital Marketing team at Bank of America. In his current role, Scott helps drive digital experiences for the Commercial Banking and Global Transaction Services businesses. He joined Bank of America in 2006 as part of a team evaluating interactive media opportunities and syndicating the findings across the firm. Scott has more than 25 years of marketing experience and has been in digital since the days when it was called ‘eMarketing’. Prior to joining Bank of America, Scott held marketing positions at Newell Rubbermaid, Georgia-Pacific, The Coca-Cola Company and MCI. Scott has a BS in marketing from Clemson University and an MBA from George Mason University.

Janelle StraitiffPanelist

Director, Compliance

Brighthouse Financial

Janelle Straitiff is a Director in Compliance at Brighthouse Financial. In her role, she is responsible for oversight of the anti-money laundering and privacy programs, as well as regulatory exams and operations compliance. Janelle has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise in the equity markets, money laundering, and privacy. Prior to Brighthouse, Janelle gained her experience with TIAA-CREF, MetLife, and Mass Mutual. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and computer science from Colgate University.

Jay CalavasModerator

Chief Innovation Officer


Jay Calavas has more than 20 years of proven MarTech experience, and is responsible for helping promote the global adoption and innovation of the Tealium Customer Data Hub. Prior to this role, Jay first ran global sales at Tealium, helping grow the company into the market leader for enterprise tag management. After that he orchestrated the global launch of AudienceStream CDP and creation of the Customer Data Platform space. Before Tealium, Jay provided his leadership skills across the digital marketing ecosystem with companies such as ExactTarget, TouchCommerce, Visual Sciences and WebSideStory (now Adobe Systems). Jay studied marketing and finance at James Madison University.
