On May 25, FCS MOVES will feature a live conversation with Heather Randolph Carter, EVP, Chief Marketing & Communication Officer for LPL Financial. Heather will be interviewed by FCS Programming Chair John McCormick of AdNode.

Chief Marketing & Communications Officer
Heather Randolph Carter is executive vice president and chief marketing and communication officer for LPL Financial, where she holds primary responsibility for brand management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications to drive revenue growth for the Fortune 500 company. Prior to taking on her current position, Ms. Carter held positions of increasing responsibility with LPL Financial, most recently as executive vice president for Communication & Community Engagement. In this role she led the company’s cultural transformation, working to define LPL’s future state and building a strategy to realize it. She has also been credited with transforming the communication department into a consultative, business-aligned unit; directing the development of an integrated social responsibility strategy, including the company’s first diversity and inclusion program; and architecting communications plans for mergers and acquisitions and complex organizational changes. She joined LPL in 2007 when it acquired UVEST Financial Services, where she was national marketing manager. Upon joining LPL, she was named vice president of Corporate Marketing, overseeing employee communication and community relations. Prior to working at UVEST, she served as a communication consultant with Manulife USA. Ms. Carter has served on a number of charitable boards and committees, including roles as a past president of the LPL Financial Foundation board of directors and a past president of the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation. Ms. Carter earned a bachelor’s degree in English and sociology from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a master’s degree in English with a concentration in women’s studies from the University of Virginia.
