FCS opens enrollment for Members-Only Mentoring Program

Mentees and Mentors Welcome

Following three successful “seasons,” the FCS will again offer one-to-one mentoring opportunities
for members across the country
.

Our program matches mentees and mentors based on their career goals and mentor experience and interests. Applications for both roles are open now and will close on November 21 (no extensions). Pairings will be confirmed on Monday November 28. Email introductions will be made on that day, followed by a virtual get-together for all participants on December 7.

The FCS Mentoring program is a unique opportunity to be mentored by a more senior executive in marketing, media and communications. The focus is on honing industry knowledge as well as career skills such as project management, negotiating, etc. The time commitment for the program is only one hour per month, with the program running through June 2023. (Some mentoring pairs from prior seasons willingly continue their relationships and meetings on their own.)

Mentors of all levels are encouraged to get involved. Each pairing sets their own objectives and frequency for virtual and/or in-person meetings.

The size of the program will be based on the number of qualified applicants and pairing compatibility, taking into account each member’s career aspirations and development goals.
