On October 1st, our Member Only Virtual Event Series welcomed Erik Schneberger, CMO of American Century Investments, one of the country's top money managers serving financial intermediaries, institutional clients, and individual investors. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, and with five global offices, American Century has a 60+ year history and a unique ownership model that sets it apart. Privately controlled and independent, the firm’s primary owner is the Stowers Institute for Medical Research. This is one of the topics Erik Schneberger discussed in his interview with John McCormick, chair of the FCS Programming Committee.
Erik also spoke about the longstanding sponsorship of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. Erik shared videos of two campaigns – for television and social media – that were conceived of, shot and edited during the pandemic to create customer engagement around the Championship. With involvement from Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals, the campaign involved trick golf shots people were trying in their houses during our ‘stay at home’ restrictions.
