Jennifer Lindauer (2018)

As Senior Vice President, Director of Advertising—Global Consumer Marketing Organization, Jennifer oversees brand and advertising development for Citi’s North America consumer card products.  She leads internal and agency teams in the development of multi-media marketing campaigns and has also facilitated successful experiential activations such as Citi Bike, Citi Field and the Today Show and helped maximize Citi’s efforts around music, sports and content.  From brand to product, Jennifer has created engaging advertising campaigns that define the customer relationship with the Citi brand and drive business results. Beginning on the agency side, Jennifer amassed experience in CPG and Retail/Fashion, with brands including Oreo, Planters, Clairol, and Fila. Over the years, she acquired a breadth of experience in diverse advertising and marketing functions including consumer insights, creative strategy and development, broadcast and print advertising, digital marketing, social media, media planning, and brand management. Upon arriving at Citi, Jennifer launched Citi’s persuasive and emotional campaign, “Live Richly,” and developed the acclaimed Citi Identity Theft Solutions commercials. Jennifer later created the “What’s Your Story?” advertising campaign, which helped reshape Citi’s brand identity coming out of the financial crisis. The campaign outperformed the competition on key brand metrics and won a Gold Effie award. In recent years, Jennifer developed the advertising for Citi’s Double Cash card, one of the most innovative products in the Cash back category. The launch campaign won the 2015 Financial Communications Society (FCS) Financial Marketer of the Year award and went on to drive lifts in product awareness, advertising effectiveness and Net Promoter Score. Jennifer is now focused on development and deployment of the new “Welcome What’s Next” brand campaign.
