FCS Financial Marketer of the Year
The Call for Nominations for the 19th Annual FCS Financial Marketer of the Year Award is now open.

The FCS Financial Marketer of the Year Award recognizes innovation, creativity and impact in the financial services / fintech marketplace, and rewards the marketer and the marketing leader responsible.
The 2024 Award will celebrate a strong marketer and its marketing executive who have provided an inspiring example of how marketing and communications can advance a firm’s business objectives and elevate the standard for exceptional work in the marketplace.

You can include additional files with your submission to present any creative associated with the nomination. Remember: this is not a competition for creative; FMY focuses on strategy and results.

Download the required Round 2 Summary Template. If your submission is advanced by our judging panel to Round 2, it will be reviewed by our Judges during a live hybrid meeting. That discussion will build consensus and lead to the selection of a winner and up to two runners-up.

There is no fee for entering, but the nominee must be an FCS member in good standing at the time of the nomination.
In-Person Awards Gala
Our in-person Awards Gala (reception, plated dinner, after party) will be held at the New York Yacht Club on Tuesday, December 3 (6:00pm ET). We will honor the overall winner as well as the first two runners-up.
charitable donations
In line with the FCS Philanthropic Mission, we will invite this year’s Award finalists to choose a children’s charity for our new annual FMY donation. The FCS will donate $3,000 to the winner’s charity of choice, and $1,000 each to the charities selected by the runners-up.
Nomination & Evaluation
Any marketer from an eligible financial services / fintech entity may be nominated regardless of FCS membership. Eligible financial services entities include: banks, credit card companies, securities firms, financial advisors, discount brokers, exchanges, financial information companies, mutual funds, ETFs or other investment instruments, asset management companies, accounting firms, insurance products and services (excluding health insurance), fintech companies, and financial industry associations. Individuals can nominate themselves and multiple individuals can be nominated from distinct business units within one organization.
All nominations are evaluated by a panel of distinguished financial services marketing experts. The Award is chosen by this panel based upon a submitted case study detailing the effective execution of marketing communications plans that achieved clearly stated objectives linked to quantitative and qualitative results. The panel is tasked with rating submissions in terms of demonstrated excellence in the following areas, in order of importance:
- Strong Results: Directly related to objectives, quantitative (not anecdotal) evidence
- Clear Strategy: Defining the campaign objectives, target, benefit and insight
- Consistent Execution: Aligned with strategy, applied consistently across all executions
Strong submissions articulate a compelling case for the difficulty of the challenge (e.g., larger competitor, smaller budget, tight timing, bad PR), and results that are specifically driven by marketing as opposed to other factors (e.g., innovative product, resurgent economy). The Award places its emphasis on Big Ideas and Big Results, not necessarily Big Budgets.
