Erik Schneberger is chief marketing officer for American Century Investments, a premier investment manager headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Schneberger leads the teams responsible for channel marketing, brand, marketing operations, value-add, client events, corporate communications and digital. He is based in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Schneberger joined American Century in 2019 from OppenheimerFunds, where he served as head of marketing. Under his leadership, OppenheimerFunds introduced an award-winning global investment campaign that was featured in WSJ’s CMO Today. He also led the customer journey to leverage data and marketing automation to deliver personalized client experience, increasing digital content engagement by 33%. Before his tenure at OppenheimerFunds, he oversaw the digital, creative, multimedia and marketing operations functions at Neuberger Berman. Previously, Mr. Schneberger was the head of digital strategy for OppenheimerFunds. Earlier in his career, he served in several roles across the financial services and management consulting industry with GE Money, BearingPoint and AON Hewitt. Mr. Schneberger earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and his bachelor’s in computer information systems from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
