Marleta Ross is Managing Director and General Manager of the Chase Sapphire Credit Card portfolio with accountability for full P&L, brand strategy, product development and value proposition, new account originations, digital marketing, customer experience, portfolio marketing, strategic partnerships and credit risk. Prior to this, Marleta was Managing Director and Global Head of Digital for the Private Bank, responsible for acquiring new clients and deepening client relationships through digital channels and developing an integrated technology ecosystem to support effective and efficient marketing. Before joining JPMorgan Chase in 2017, Marleta spent 14 years at American Express where she was most recently Head of Acquisition Strategy & Operations for the Global Consumer Products & Services group.Prior, she served as Head of Digital Marketing Strategy & Capabilities Development where she redesigned the corporate card website, launched the industry’s first digital corporate card application and built a three-year capabilities roadmap designed to advance digital marketing globally, drive profitable growth and increase client engagement and retention.Since 2002, Marleta has held several roles across Enterprise Digital, Global Advertising, Corporate Payments, U.S. Consumer Card, and Prepaid Card groups, with a focus on digital acquisition, customer loyalty and retention, business development and cross-channel marketing optimization. Marleta began her career with Exxon Chemical Company where she was a technical account manager responsible for oil company clients with annual sales over $20MM. A New York native, Marleta holds an MBA degree in General Management from Harvard Business School and a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union. She currently resides in Long Island, New York with her two children, Justin (19) and Jiselle (13).
