Members Only: Sylvia Toense, Head of Global Brand Marketing, T. Rowe Price

As head of Global Brand Marketing, Sylvia Toense is responsible for T. Rowe Price’s enterprise brand strategy and management, retirement thought leadership, US investment public relations, and centers of excellence for market research, advertising, and social media.  Sylvia is a member of the firm’s Global Distribution Executive Committee and also the chair of the Marketing Leadership Team, T. Rowe Price’s governing body across all of the firm’s marketing teams.  Sylvia previously led the build-out of marketing for the firm’s institutional business and all distribution outside the US.  In that role, Sylvia managed three regional marketing teams that included the America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Sylvia held senior marketing roles at Legg Mason, including director of marketing for the private client business and director of corporate marketing.  Previously, she held marketing and investor relations positions at Dynex Financial, as well as the Nasdaq Stock Market.  Sylvia holds a degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Business from Johns Hopkins University.  She currently serves on the board of the World Trade Center Institute in Baltimore.
