FCS Chicago will close out 2026 with a Cocktails with Content hosted by TIAA on Tuesday, November 10 (4:30-6:30pm). We’ll stage a panel discussion on the challenges faced by marketers whose products and services are misunderstood, misconstrued or simply overlooked. Sharing their insights on how to reposition their go-to-market strategies will be three experienced financial marketers from leading Chicago brands:
- Mike Bieselin, CMO, Retirement Solutions, TIAA
- Nicolette Konkol, SVP, Head of Marketing, Morningstar
- Brittany Riesenbeck, SVP, PWM Wealth Solutions Marketing Manager, Baird
The panel discussion will be moderated by Lisa Barnhart, Vice President, Financial Services, at WSJ Barron’s Group.
Under the theme The Product Pivot: Changing How Clients See Your Financial Solutions, the conversation will explore what happens when marketers need to do more than differentiate a product—they need to change the way clients understand the problem it solves. That can mean shifting the retirement conversation from saving to income, reframing familiar investment concepts around new client outcomes, or finding clearer ways to communicate solutions that are complex, unfamiliar or burdened by outdated perceptions.
Our panelists will discuss what that kind of repositioning requires across messaging, creative, client education, distribution and sales enablement. We’ll also examine how marketers know when the existing story has stopped working, how they build internal alignment around a new narrative, and how they measure progress when changing perceptions may take time.
As part of our philanthropic mission, FCS Chicago will donate $1,000 to a children’s charity selected by our panelists.
