Emily Glazer

Emily Glazer is a banking reporter for The Wall Street Journal focusing on two of the largest U.S. banks: J.P. Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo. She covers all aspects of banking, from the hard hitters on Wall Street and alleged bribery in China to heightened rules and regulations, including terrorist financing and banking along the border. Most recently, she's spent the last 18 months focused on the retail banking sales practices scam at Wells Fargo that impacted as many as 2.1 million accounts, led to the firing of 5,300 employees and embroiled the bank in a spate of investigations. This spring, Emily was named a Rising Star by the News Media Alliance and received the New York Press Club’s award for consumer reporting. Last year she was a finalist for the Society of American Business Editors and Writers’ Larry Birger Young Business Journalist Award. Over the past eight years reporting for The Wall Street Journal, Emily has covered global bankruptcy and restructuring, consumer products companies like Procter & Gamble, personal finance and start-ups.
