“Crypto: The Most Exciting Alternative Asset”

John Tornatore joined Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in 2013 as Director, Business Development. In this role, he pursues U.S. and international strategic marketing initiatives to grow the CBOE and CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) outreach. He is also a member of the team responsible for developing futures and options business outside of the U.S. during the exchanges’ extended trading hours. Additionally, John is heading the exchanges efforts to develop new business for Cboe's Cryptocurrency products globally. 

Bart Smith is co-Head of the ETF Group at Susquehanna International Group (SIG). As such, he is jointly responsible for several ETF-related activities including oversight of the Firm’s ETF client trading (through SIG affiliate Susquehanna Financial Group, or SFG), global equity portfolio trading (also SFG) and ETF issuer relationships. Since 2014, Mr. Smith has also been leading SIG’s cryptocurrency and digital asset efforts. In this function, he helps to steer the continued growth of the Firm’s footprint in the space and provides input to a variety of market participants, listing exchanges and regulatory bodies on matters related to liquidity and product construction. Prior to his current role, he helped Emerging Global Advisors launch its EGShares lineup of ETFs. Mr. Smith has also worked at AllianceBernstein and UBS Wealth Management in variety of sales and consulting roles. Mr. Smith is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human & Organizational Development.

Michael Sonnenshein joined Grayscale Investments in January 2014.  As Managing Director, he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and growth of the Grayscale business, spanning sales, operations, product development, and investor relations. With $2+ Billion in assets under management, Michael is responsible for maintaining many of the firms’ key client relationships including family offices, hedge funds, and other institutions as well as forming strategic partnerships and evaluating service providers. Prior to joining Grayscale, Michael was a financial advisor at JP Morgan Securities, covering HNW individuals and institutions. He also worked in a similar capacity at Barclays Wealth, providing coverage to middle‐market hedge funds and institutions. Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and his Master of Business Administration from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
