The Great Finance Reset

Recap

On Monday, July 27, the FCS partnered with Getty Images for a free virtual event, The Great Finance Reset: Visual Strategies for Investment & Wealth Brands. Tristen Norman, Head of Creative for the Americas at Getty Images, presented findings from the company’s latest VisualGPS research. She was joined by Carmen Garcia, Global Head of Creative at BlackRock, for a discussion on how changing consumer expectations are reshaping visual storytelling across financial services. FCS Board Director Josh Rucci, VP Sales, Americas, at Getty Images, was on hand to kick-off the event and moderate audience Q&A.

A New Visual Language for Financial Brands

The conversation challenged many of the industry’s longstanding visual conventions, arguing that today’s consumers respond more strongly to authentic, human-centered imagery than traditional depictions of wealth, success, and financial advice. Tristen and Carmen discussed how financial marketers can build greater trust and engagement by better reflecting the ways people actually live, work, manage money, and define financial well-being.

Putting the Research into Practice

Drawing on Getty Images’ proprietary consumer research, the session examined practical opportunities for investment and wealth brands to modernize their visual strategies—from embracing video and more inclusive representations of wealth to portraying AI and digital finance in ways that feel credible, relatable, and relevant.

Visual Strategies For Investment & Wealth Brands

The FCS is excited to partner again with Getty Images for a free virtual event exploring how financial services brands can build trust, relevance, and engagement through more effective visual storytelling.

Join us on Monday, July 27, at 12:00pm ET, when Tristen Norman, Head of Creative for the Americas at Getty Images, presents insights from Getty Images’ latest VisualGPS report, The Great Finance Reset. The session will explore how financial marketers can better align their visual communications with the way consumers actually live, earn, save, invest, and define their financial future.

Following her presentation, Tristen will interview Carmen Garcia, Head of Global Creative, Global Creative Director and member of the Atlanta iHub Leadership team at BlackRock.

For decades, the industry has relied on familiar visual cues: handshakes, boardrooms, suited advisors, polished offices, and traditional symbols of material success. But consumer expectations are changing. Wealth is increasingly defined by experience, security, flexibility, digital access, and everyday quality of life. For marketers, that shift creates both a challenge and an opportunity.

During this session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Reflect the many paths to wealth across generations, professions, identities, and life stages.
  • Build trust with imagery that acknowledges uncertainty, complexity, and real financial lives.
  • Close the gap between how consumers engage with video and digital finance—and how brands depict them.
  • Reframe aspiration around everyday joy, security, independence, and lived experience.

As financial marketers compete for attention in a rapidly changing landscape, the brands that visualize trust more credibly will be better positioned to connect with the audiences shaping the future of finance.

In gratitude to Carmen, the FCS is proud to make a $1,000 donation to the children’s charity of her choice: Los Niños Primero, whose mission is to prepare Latino children and their families for success through innovative, high-quality education programs that extend beyond the classroom.
