Recap
Season 3 of FCS MOVES (Members Only Virtual Event Series) kicked off on Tuesday, September 27, with a one-on-one interview between Laura Burke, EVP, Chief Communications Officer, Santander U.S., and FCS Board Vice Chair Tom Jago, Managing Director, The Ward Group.
Speaking from her office in Boston, Laura spoke about her career, which has included senior comms roles at Prudential and Edelman, and what led her to the global opportunity to work at Santander.
In speaking about an integrated marketing campaign that centered on a partnership with tennis legend Rafa Nadal and the U.S. charity, City Year, Laura shared insights about what it took to leverage celebrity, philanthropy and consumer marketing resources into a ‘full-court’ success. She provided an impressive array of stats that showed how the campaign activation scored across paid, earned, social and experiential to expand reach and reinforces messaging for Santander.
You can watch one component of the campaign, the “What Would Rafa Do?” video, on YouTube.
In gratitude to Laura’s participation in FCS MOVES, we donated $1,000 to the children’s charity of her choice, which, not surprisingly, is City Year.
