On Driving Engagement Through Content

Meeting investors where they are can be challenging amid turbulent markets, but the right strategies can help firms connect authentically with clients. In the April 24th FCS Members Only Virtual Event Series (FCS MOVES), Bart Turner, SVP, Head of Wealth Management Marketing at U.S. Bank, shared insights on how the financial services landscape is changing and how financial marketers can find ways to achieve positive outcomes for their firms and their clients.

Speaking with Dotdash Meredith CRO Katherine Divney, Turner explained that marketing as a discipline has significantly evolved in recent years and emphasized how technology and data are helping firms create more personalized user experiences. Content is a core part of this personalization, and making content digestible and accessible is one of U.S. Bank’s core missions.

As economic conditions continue to change, being able to communicate effectively with clients is likely to be an ongoing focus area for financial marketers. “Building out that ecosystem is the path that we’ve been on for the past few years,” said Turner, highlighting that doing so has allowed U.S Bank to communicate with clients both broadly and through their financial advisors and bankers.

Most important of all is to meet consumers where they are and serve clients at all stages of their lives. Turner also explained that “people need advice and guidance more than ever,” and being able to provide that guidance can make all the difference when it comes to building long-term relationships.
