In a triumphant return to the FCS Members Only Virtual Event Series (MOVES), Beth Wood, Chief Marketing Officer of Principal Financial, was warmly welcomed back on April 9, 2024, as our first returning guest of honor. She originally appeared in October of 2020. This time out, Beth was interviewed by FCS Board Director Sheevani Raikundalia, the Head of Financial Advertising Sales, North America, at Bloomberg Media – our programming partner for this event.

During the half hour conversation, Beth shared insightful updates on Principal’s marketing successes over recent years, and also teased exciting plans for the year ahead. She talked about a recent ad campaign that ran during March Madness (watch the :30 spot “Ron”).

Beth’s conversation with Sheevani was wide ranging, from the importance of learning and experimenting with AI, and how retirement in the U.S. is evolving with the notion of “peak 65”, to the significance of corporate sustainability and the growing opportunities in sponsoring women’s sports.

In gratitude to Beth, the FCS donated $1,000 to Community Youth Concepts, an Iowa based charitable organization focused on improving the lives of youth as students and active community members.
