Playing to Win: The New Playbook for Financial Brands in Sports

FCS Sports Marketing Luncheon

Sports offers financial brands something increasingly difficult to find: the ability to reach large, passionate audiences while creating experiences that deepen relationships with clients, customers and communities.

Join the FCS for a special luncheon exploring the evolving intersection of financial services, marketing and sports. We’re bringing together a panel of senior marketers whose brands are active across some of the world’s most visible sports platforms—from arenas and professional teams to global properties including Formula 1.

Our panelists will include:

  • Kimberlee Mertz, Managing Director, Head of Brand and Marketing, Investment Bank, Barclays
    • Kimberlee leads strategic brand initiatives and integrated marketing for Barclays’ Investment Bank globally and has extensive experience with sports sponsorships and activations, including Barclays Center and the New York Liberty.
  • Tom Cerasoli, Head of Sponsorship & Partnership Management, Citi
    • Tom directs Citi’s global portfolio of partnerships across sports, entertainment, arts and culture, with a focus on using sponsorship and activation to advance both brand and business objectives.
  • Matthew Slivinski, Managing Director, Global Head of Marketing, Carlyle
    • Matt leads Carlyle’s global brand and marketing efforts. Carlyle is the exclusive investment-management-industry partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing, a partnership launched in 2025 and designed around brand engagement, technology and access to the global Formula 1 audience.

The panel will be moderated by FCS Board Director Rob Pfeiffer, VP, Sales, at FOX Business, the exclusive programming partner for this event.

The conversation will explore how the sports marketing playbook is changing as brands look for stronger connections between awareness, engagement and business impact—and what marketers should consider when deciding where, when and how to play.

As part of our philanthropic mission, the FCS is proud to make a $1,000 donation to a children’s charity selected by our panelists.

  • Start November 4, 2026 12:00 PM EST
  • End November 4, 2026 01:45 PM EST
