“Blockchain & Crypto: How Do I Market This?”

Hunter Horsley is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bitwise Asset Management. Prior to Bitwise, Horsley was a product manager at Facebook, working on advertiser products including the multi-billion-dollar sponsored content ecosystem and ad breaks in videos. Before Facebook, he was a product manager at Instagram responsible for multiple advertising products generating several hundred million dollars of revenue. Horsley is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Recently, Horsley was named a member of Forbes 2019 30 under 30 list.

Dave leads global client relationships for CoinDesk, which includes the blockchain industry leading Consensus events, digital media, and data & research. CoinDesk sits at the center of the highly engaged and enthusiastic blockchain community, and Dave works with forward-thinking companies of all sizes across various sectors and regions, namely enterprise tech, global consultancies, financial services, education, legal, digital asset & tokenization, and more. A big part of Dave’s role in an emerging industry with such an early-stage technology is connecting investors, developers, marketers, product leads, professors, lawyers, governments, or entrepreneurs to grow awareness and education and continue to increase adoption of blockchain & digital assets. In his time at CoinDesk, Dave has seen tremendous growth of the Consensus events, including the introduction of Blockchain Week NYC in partnership with the City of New York, of which Consensus is the anchor, the September 2018 launch of Consensus: Singapore, and the 2nd year of Consensus: Invest for institutional investors. In this time, CoinDesk has also launched new video, audio, and newsletter products, as well as the Crypto-Economics Explorer (CEX) data tool. Prior to joining CoinDesk, he spent 12 years at Bloomberg and CNBC leading sales teams, launching products, creating content and unique partnerships with clients, and surviving the collapses and recoveries of global financial markets.  It’s that perspective of a long-term view through market volatility that makes Dave’s voice valuable in the early adoption years of blockchain and digital assets.

Austin Trombley co-founded Random Forest Capital in 2016; the firm was acquired in 2018 by Franklin Templeton Investments, where Austin is now a Vice President. His background includes having been an analytical R, Python, SAS, SQL, and NoSQL guru for 7 fortune 500 companies. He has 10+ years of thought and people leadership, strategy, Big Data Consulting, Data Science, and the proven ability to execute. He is an avid student studying Economics and Business as an undergraduate, Finance during his MBA, and recently Machine Learning @ UC Berkeley. Mr. Trombley also has acquired domain knowledge of the FinTech and Marketplace lending space from his time employed within this space.
