FCS Charlotte will stage its first event of 2019 on March 19th with a luncheon on "Marketing Personalization."
The event will open with a presentation by Jeff Turner, the head of RED Team at the Washington Post. Jeff's team builds personalization tools and testing for the Post and develops white label offerings for the marketplace. He will then moderate a panel of clientside executives, who will address branding, digital, and compliance issues surrounding personalization.
The program will begin promptly at 11:45am.
At this event, we're introducing a new networking component: after the luncheon panel, we'll break for a "dessert mixer," (12:45pm) allowing all our guests to mingle with the speakers and each other over sweets and coffee.

Gibran Saleh is a Senior Vice President on Bank of America’s Customer Engagement and Investments. In this role, Gibran is focused on driving strategy and execution for next-generation Marketing Technology capabilities. A 15-year veteran of Bank of America, Gibran has held a number of leadership roles within Enterprise Marketing and Digital Channels at the bank, specializing in targeted marketing and personalization, data activation, digital testing and optimization, marketing effectiveness and technology integration. Prior to joining Bank of America, Gibran served as Director of Product Management for Intermedia Communications, Inc., and was a member of the executive management team for the company's Advanced Building Networks division. Gibran holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Nevada. He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and three children, and is a visible Ally for the Bank of America LGBT Pride organization.
Senior Director, Digital Marketing
Kevin Howard is the Senior Director of Digital Marketing for Ally Financial and is tasked with leading the overall digital marketing strategy leveraging the “One Ally” philosophy. Kevin joined Ally in 2011 with the mission to lead the firm to the cutting edge of digital sophistication through a combination of data, targeting, and personalization across a variety of channels and an ever-changing consumer. As the digital landscape evolves and becomes more fragmented, so does his role. Content marketing, cross-sell, cross-device personalization, along with a shifting demographic to the millennial mindset are the big opportunities where he is driving innovation. Kevin has 20 years of digital marketing expertise with a heavy emphasis on data, beginning his career on the agency side with Avenue A / Razorfish in New York, where he spent 8 years. He was instrumental in leading strategy for brands including Starwood Hotels, Chase Credit Cards, and LLBean. Prior to joining Ally, he also spent 3 years with Lending Tree evolving their digital marketing strategy across an expanding product set. Kevin holds a B.A. in Marketing from North Carolina State University. He is an avid golfer and an enthusiastic fan for all Charlotte sports teams.
Cynthia Jon-Ubabuco is Senior Counsel, Privacy at Wells Fargo. In this role, Cynthia provides legal guidance on domestic and multi-jurisdictional privacy and data protection matters. Cynthia also serves as the lead privacy attorney for APAC countries where Wells Fargo has a significant presence, such as India and the Philippines. Before joining Wells Fargo, Cynthia was Assistant General Counsel, Enterprise Privacy at Bank of America. At Bank of America, Cynthia advised and partnered with her business, compliance, and risk partners to effectively review, implement, and deploy initiatives and programs impacted by privacy laws and regulations. Cynthia started her legal career at Countrywide Financial Corporation. Cynthia received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, and her B.A. in Computer Science from Columbia University. She holds the CIPP/US and CIPM certifications.

Jeff Turner is the Head of The Washington Post's RED team, an in-house advertising Research, Experimentation and Development team laser-focused on building the most innovating web and mobile advertising in digital publishing. Since its inception, RED has developed over twenty proprietary ad products including three patented advertising technologies. Prior to joining The Post, Turner served in several leadership positions at Aol/Oath, including The Head of Ad Product and Monetization for The Huffington Post and Senior Director of Product at Oath, responsible for advertising innovation. Turner lives in Arlington, VA with his wife Lauren and their blind cocker spaniel named Moose. In his spare time Turner rock climbs, snowboards, frequently travels, and occasionally sails.
