FCS New York Joins Hope & Heroes Walk 2022 In-Person and Virtually

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We are excited to announce that FCS New York, including our Young Members Circle (YMC), will again participate in the Annual Hope & Heroes Walk, to be held this year on Saturday, September 10 at Pier 16 in Manhattan's Financial District by the South Street Seaport. The FCS is a "Rallying Sponsor" — and we hope to rally your participation by offering to match donations raised by our team members up to a total of $5,000.

Our team captains are FCS Board Directors Hailey Brent, Sheevani Raikundalia, and Nick Bernardo (coming out of retirement). Feel free to contact any of them for details, or join / donate to our team online here: FCS TEAM PAGE.

You can choose to walk in-person (and get a free FCS t-shirt!), join us virtually and raise money, or just make a direct donation to our team effort.

Date: Saturday, September 10, 2022

Time: Check-in: 9:30 | Walk: 11:00

Location: Pier 16 (167 John St, New York, NY 10038)

Pier 16 Walk Route: The two-mile route will be an 'out-and-back' loop along the East River Promenade (one mile from the pier to the turnaround, and one mile back to the pier). Walk Marshals will direct participants and provide assistance along the route.

Food & Beverage: Light refreshments and snacks will be available. You can also bring your own food and/or beverage. The FCS Walking Team will also be convening post-walk to offer the opportunity catch up with colleagues and friends over food and drinks. Location to be determined.

Hailey says, "“We’re walking in the 12th Annual Hope & Heroes Walk because the FCS is committed to supporting Hope & Heroes’ life-saving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders. Everyone of us on the Board and across the FCS community is proud to continue giving back to this very worthy cause!”

  • One of the most rewarding aspects of the FCS is seeing how the generosity of our financial marketing and media community helps the incredible charities we support, including Hope & Heroes. In addition to operating the dedicated Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Hope  & Heroes funds life-saving research on childhood cancer. Donations both small and large help Hope & Heroes ensure that every child, regardless of their ability to pay, gets the very best care.

We invite you to join us in support of the Hope & Heroes Walk. Whether you can donate or join our team and walk with us in-person or virtually, your support will help Hope & Heroes, and the families they care for… every step of the way.
