FCS Portfolio Awards Honor 2022’s Best in Financial Marketing and Communications

  • HSBC scores top prize and two Best in Show awards for “The Luckiest Red” Integrated Campaign
  • American Century Investments also nabs 2 Best in Show Awards, as Invesco and Prudential take one each
  • Bank of America dominates the night with over 40 wins

On May 4th, 500 financial marketing, communications and media professionals from over 115 companies gathered at the Ziegfeld Ballroom for the 29th Annual FCS Portfolio Awards. The black tie gala drew attendees excited to convene in-person to celebrate 2022’s most creative financial marketing efforts.

The top prize, the Judges’ Choice Award, was won by HSBC’s “The Luckiest Red” branded content integrated launch (agency: Wunderman Thompson), created in partnership with The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.  The work was selected by consensus from among the judging panel of 40 industry experts who each nominated their favorite from among 500+ entries. That entry also won two Best in Show awards.

Bank of America set a new Portfolio record for the most trophies overall, with 46 (15 Gold, 8 Silver and 23 Bronze trophies). Next in line was State Street Global Advisors with 13 including 6 Gold. Other double-digit winners with 10 trophies each were: Morgan Stanley, including E*TRADE; Prudential Financial, including PGIM; Citi, including Citi® / AAdvantage®

FCS CEO Kevin Windorf of 2112 Communications hosted the event. FCS Board Director Krissie Hart of Reuters served as the Awards program emcee. The FCS 2023 Race for Kids donation of $60,000 was announced by FCS Board Chair Tim Hart of Ptarmigan Media. The FCS total donation to more than 50 children’s charities now stands at over $2,900,000. The FCS has announced a campaign to raise $100,000 before the 30th Anniversary FCS Portfolio Gala, set for May 2, 2024.
