On Monday, June 12th, the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York, welcomed an enthusiastic group of tennis players whose skill levels ranged from beginner to ringer (there's always one!).
While several beginners were pampered with personal lessons from the Club's pro, the rest of the field battled for nearly three hours in 90+ degree heat in an extraordinarily fun round robin tournament. The tourney play was designed so that you changed partners with every round, maximizing the intro's and networking.
When it was all over, Tony Andrade of Market Realist and Eric Soderberg of Forefront Communications stood victorious as the winning team.
But the event wasn't over yet. After a few rounds of well-deserved refreshments, the group gathered around the outdoor bar to listen to a "Courtside Forum" as FCS CEO Kevin Windorf interviewed our special guest, Lew Sherr, Chief Revenue Officer of the U.S. Tennis Association, which produces the U.S. Open among many other tournaments.
