George Marootian

George Marootian is Executive Vice President, Head of Technology at Natixis Global Asset Management – U.S. Distribution. He joined the firm in 2014. In this role, Mr. Marootian manages the technology function, which includes all areas of infrastructure, software engineering, production operations and technology innovation. One of his key areas of focus is on creating a new suite of software applications that can operate on any level of infrastructure, giving Natixis the ability to operate in a more agile way in response to changing market conditions. In addition, Mr. Marootian is leading initiatives to create the next-generation infrastructure model for Natixis, leveraging cloud computing technologies coupled with high performance data centers. Mr. Marootian brings to the firm an extensive background in technology engineering, design, development and management within startups and Fortune 500 firms. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the development of software-based solutions, spanning client-server, web, web 2.0, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and cloud services to deliver high performance products and services to business lines. Prior to joining Natixis, he worked for Cloud Technology Partners as one of the Architect heads of the practice, focused on the design, development and implementation of cloud computing ecosystems to companies including GE, Kronos, Silicon Valley Bank, State Street, and Altisource. Mr. Marootian holds a BS from University of Massachusetts-Lowell and currently holds a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification (ISACA).
