On November 4, 2021, the FCS announced the shortlist of finalists for the 2021 FCS Financial Marketer of the Year Award (FMY). Listed alphabetically by company, they are:

- Andrew Most, Head of Global Brand, Creative, & Content Strategy, Columbia Threadneedle Investments
- David Williams, CVP Advertising, Sponsorships, Creative Services, New York Life
All three finalists have been recognized in past years as either an FMY winner or runner-up.
FMY recognizes innovation, creativity and impact in the financial services marketplace and rewards the brand and the marketing leader responsible. Trophies for the winner and runners-up will be presented at an in-person Awards Gala on December 1st at 6:00pm ET. Sponorships are available for the Gala, which includes a cocktail reception, dinner and afterparty.

Our judging panel, recruited by FCS Vice Chair Tom Jago of The Ward Group, considered entries from an array of financial brands — from wealth managers and consumer bankers to fintech firms and insurance companies. The final judging discussion was moderated by FCS Board Director Melissa Scauri of Morgan Stanley. This year's judging panel included 12 senior executives from leading financial companies:
